Check out my blogroll page here to find all the blogs I read (and recommend) including my favorite Turkey blogs (not the Thanksgiving kind).

These blogs cover a number of different topics including How to blog, Politics and Spirituality, Travel, Marketing, and Digital Photography. The Turkey blogs are all in English written by foreigners living in different parts of Turkey.

As I sat down to write this I had to ask myself why I have a Facebook fan page. Everybody says that a website should have a fan page so I have one. Is that the reason? I had to be honest and really consider whether I had a better reason.

It only took a few seconds to realize that I have goals for this community (as it develops) that will be difficult to accomplish only using the blog. I often have observations and nuggets that don’t work for a full blog post but are too big for Twitter. I want to use Facebook for this. Also, I hope to do regular giveaways through the FB page.

At the same time I would like to see the Facebook page become a place for more interaction between members of this community. I will keep working on it and time will tell how it evolves. In the meantime go check it out here, like it, and start participating.

The natural thought when people hear about this website is that pictures are the focus. Cappadocia is a captivating place, for sure. However, my desire is to focus on the people, their lives, and the experiences that visitors can have with the people of this place. To me the people are captivating, and I want to help anyone interested to better enjoy and understand both the people and the place.

With that said I do take pictures on a regular basis. I am not a professional photographer, but every now and then I take a good picture. I post my photos on the CaptivatingCappadocia page on Flikr.

Please go to that page to see my Photostream and all my sets of pictures. Also, feel free to use any pictures you like. I would appreciate you including a credit with the photo, but I am not going to police it. I enjoy taking pictures and am happy for them to be used

If you need any photos of Cappadocia, please write me and ask. I will do my best to fulfill your requests.
