I shot this painting in a random church in Monastery Valley in Guzelyurt. This is what is so amazing about Cappadocia. 1000+ year-old paintings like this are all over the place.

    It is disorienting, isn’t it, that there are ancient artistic remnants everywhere that remain largely unknown to the world?

      Yes, it is crazy. There is so much here that they cannot monitor all of it, which makes for more fun for those who like to explore.
